Since the beginning of this year, Micro LEDs have frequently appeared in policy documents of national and local governments.
Firstly, on March 31 of this year, the Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Administration of Taxation jointly released the “Notice of the General Administration of Customs and the State Administration of Taxation of the Ministry of Finance on Import Tax Policies to Support the Development of New Display Industries from 2021 to 2030”, which included Micro LED display devices for the first time.
According to the notice, from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2030, it has been decided to exempt import tariffs on key raw materials and spare parts production enterprises in the new display industry (including Micro LED) that cannot be produced domestically or whose performance cannot meet demand for self use production raw materials and consumables.
